Stored Sensitive User Data: Own avatars and recorded sound effects
Players have the option to upload their own avatar photo and create their own sound effects. The players are not obliged to use them, it is entirely up to them to use them. All recordings are made with the conscious consent of the user. The avatar images and sound files are stored on our own server (www.worddetective.app/blog) and are displayed and played as part of the animation during the online multiplayer game mode. The uploaded avatar and sound files can be deleted by the user at any time in the Profile menu, in which case they will also be deleted from our server. In all cases, the microphone is activated by pressing and holding the microphone button, thus preventing accidental access to the microphone that remains active.
Not-Stored Sensitive User Data: Voice Chat
In the game it is possible to chat with each other players using voice chat, this is provided by the Photon Voice service. These conversations are for live communication only, they are not stored in any way (neither on our own server nor elsewhere). In all cases, the microphone is activated by pressing and holding the microphone button, thus preventing accidental access to the microphone that remains active.
